American Iron at Mid-Ohio
I went to the AI national convention on aug. 20-22 in Mid-Ohio. What an awesome and challenging track it is.
Quick recap: only got one practice fri., then rain all day.
sat. ran 6 laps in qualifing then tranny blew 3rd gear. Got it switched w/ 10 minutes to spare before race. started 6th in class finished 5th out of 26 AI cars.
Sun. brakes caught fire in qualifing, got calipers fixed qual. in 6th again but two car were sent to back cause underwieght. was in second for 10 laps, leader broke, I led AI for 4-5 laps then my dist. broke. w/ 3 laps to go, ended up 13th
