If I'm not mistaken, both of those cars had two drivers. The drivers might not have been in the same class. Look closely.

You're progressing really well, Regina. It takes time to learn the finer points of car control, and autocross has the added element of learning to "read" the course. But, like I was telling Matt, it's easier to teach a driver to go faster than it is to get one to slow down. You're not overdriving, you're creeping up on the limits of the car and that's good. Just keep pushing the envelope... and having fun.

Oh ok, got ya on the drivers. That's cool!

Yes, I definitely found some limits Saturday. I'm going to continue pushing that darn envelope until I've found the edge.

SO MUCH FUN!!!

I'm really glad to hear that you're having so much fun. Towards the end of your runs, I was starting to wonder. It was clear that you were making progress, but you were so heat-drained that you really didn't look like you were having fun when you got out of the car!

Brian

Tod Byram was a regular in CFR events in the mid/late 80's.

Danny Shields ran an 85 Mustang 5.0 during that time, and Tod also ran a Mustang. Tod got to be quite a good driver in trying to beat Danny.

Haven't seen Tod's name is years, it is good to see him back.

Thanks Loren and Brian; Howard Sharf was the master-mind behind the grid set up ... we worked together with Paul for about an hour to come up with the final set up ... the result was a nice smooth grid all day ....
I like this much better then the creep-n-crawl grid ...

Oh no he didn't !!! :o :o

Yeah, the family hauler didn't look halfbad out there but I still won the $1 , too bad you probably used $30 worth of rubber off of my loaner tires

FYI to all .... Sunday August 22nd is the next event at SPJC...

Cool photo, Kenny! (I'd edit out the umbrella behind the car, though) If you or anyone else has more good pix, be sure to upload them to the SunRiders Autocross website. The webmaster has revamped the photo gallery so that you can upload 5 pix at a time instead of separately. If we get anough pix out there, he's working on a rotating slideshow gizmo for the front page.

Tod Byram has been out to a few of our events. Not sure if I've met him or not, I'm terrible with names. But I know his name's been in the results.

i could have tied for 41st place had i not gotten the +1 on my 42.66 run

happy about placing in the top ten in my class, okay so it was #10 but hey

who was announcing for that heat, he had me dying when he was telling my time of 42.66 and then waited and said, +1 you had me rollin...+1 only counts on TR... Thanx

well 42 out of 50 makes me smile and EP03

had fun, def looking forward to the next, should have the new suspension done and the bodyroll gone

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

You looked great out there, Angela!

Loren, I know I must've looked so terrible. Hahaha. I was really having fun regardless of how sweaty and drained I looked. I promise. Hahaha.

I knew the Saturn didn't have street tires!!! It looked amazing though!

Everyone drove really well. It seemed like mostly everyone improved by the end.

yeah, good job with actually setting up a grid area, that rolling grid always annoyed me & several others.
