Since it is an active airport, they will probably frown upon you bringing flames to the site as well. I HIGHLY recommend you speak to the event chairman before you bring a bbq grill to the site.

stupid laws. it is a good point though, i doubt that the airport will allow open grilling even though we are on a closed runway. I would think that the smoke might alarm a few people out there. Not to mention you have to be very careful on the grounds of this place as 1 side of the apron is farm land and i don't think they even want us standing in that grass.

fwiw, the event chairman at this point doesn't know about the BBQ requirements.

umm, email Gary Meredith. his email should be on the CFR webpage.

The MSSC usually always had a hotdog stand guy come out to their events way back when I used to regularily attend their events.

The porsche guys, thanks to a sponsor, and the sunriders also supply lunch.

I think it sucks that none of the SCCA events seem to give any attention to having food provided for at the event.

I find its usually a good way for people to all hang out together and chat.

That seems to be a FL thing. I have never been to an event outside FL that includes lunch. Anyway, unless you hide in your car, the entire event is a good opportunity for camaraderie.

I nominate you to be food and beverage chairman.
