Well, I wussed out. After working all day Saturday, the thought of sleeping in Sunday morning appealed to me. The weather didn't help to change that decision.

How did it go?

i was there on sat...it was a lot of fun and i got some good experience...i had 7 good runs and on my last damn run i messed up pretty bad....but i was turning some decent times toward the 5,6,7th run....my best time of the day was a 63.4...i only had 2 DNF's, my 2nd and my 8th run.. ..i was happy with that considering it was my first time ever autocrossing....

I punked out on Sunday, too... I think I got dehydrated at the practice on Saturday or something. I woke up all woozy and nausiated today.

But I've got to say, Saturday was one of the best days autocrossing I've had in a long time! The course layout was awesome (Thanks, Jim!), the site was great, and it seemed like it ran pretty smoothly (despite a couple of timing issues). I really look forward to more events at Brooksville!

Saturday was cool. I ran pretty good. My best time was a 60.xx. Was my first time out so I a blast. Even though I was seriously hurting from riding BMX the night before I had to go. Sunday was way to wet for me. I showed up but I didnt register since i know my car is horrible in the rain. I will have to go out to the next one! Had a great time.

The event was a lot of fun.

We are going to have an event there every month. Next one is scheduled for August 28-29. Details will hopefully be coming soon.

make sure you please post the details in the autox forum....i know a lot of ppl that said they should have went....but they didnt find out till after the reg. date...ohh well too late for them...do you think next time, we could do the track mostly where all the cars were paked this past time....i think it would be a lot less confusing if the clear spot of the runway was where the course layout was....

just my .02 though....

John
