roebling road
today was our first day on the track; it's a ridiculously high-speed track. never do i see second (only once do i even see third, if i'm driving the line right) and there's a two thousand foot straightaway. it's a fun track, with wide sweepers- very wild.
anyway, it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow. should be interesting.
it's a very different world from autocrossing. fuckups are far more expensive. early apexing doesnt kill cones, it gives you intimate views of corner worker stations. lol. anyway, i'll have pictures and vids eventually. . . . .

im home and in one piece. i'll have pics and vids in a day or so.
rain driving is interesting. i eventually got good at it, but i did spend a fair amount of time in the weeds. unfortunately i spent two days perfecting my rain line and then, on sunday, the track dried up halfway through the day and i had totally forgotten how to drive in the dry. we had a little 5-lap race at the end of saturday and sunday. saturday was a wet qualifying and race- i qualified second in session (53 cars) and second in class (spec miata- 27 cars) and then on the first lap of the race i lost it and went off- and had to watch the entire field pass me. in the remaining four laps i picked up 10 spots though. on sunday, when i qualified in the dry and sucked ass, i qualified 15th and finished the race tenth. a good time was had. and i didnt bust the car. yay.
