I just wanted to drop a note to thank Neal and everybody else involved for the FSF event this weekend. I had a lot of fun for the time I was there. I lost my power steering belt and 3/5 of my alternator/water pump belt just before the turn around on my third run during test and tune on Saturday. Complications set in during the (what should have been simple) repairs (Is it just me or do complications always seem to set in when you REALLY WANT the car to be running?) and I was unable to get things fixed to make it back out Sunday.

Very frustrating as this is the second time I have "tried" to autocross and I have had to leave at lunch time on Saturday both times. One day I will actually finish an event. How exciting that will be.

Anyway thanks to everyone involved. AutoX is really fun and I am blown away by how friendly everyone is. I'm really addicted, but also really unlucky. I'm headed to Ft. Myers this coming weekend, hopefully I will have some better luck.

 

I'll be haeding down to Ft. Myers with my friends Cory and Alan. If you'd like to join he caravan down, we will be leaving the area around 5:30 to 5:45. As of yet we haven't decided where the meeting point is.

 

Man, that sucks! If you thought Saturday morning was fun, you would have REALLY liked Saturday afternoon and Sunday! Once we got more familiar with the new timing software, the rest of the weekend was pretty much flawless. We got six MORE runs on Saturday afternoon (ten total!!) and did six runs for the competition on Sunday.

Hope you get it sorted out. I know what it's like...trust me.

We'll be in Ft Myers for the practice on Saturday before we leave for Topeka. Maybe we'll see some of you there.
