Default Should I work early at FSF?

I want to race Saturday 8/30, but I have to be at work around 3:00 that day. Will racing be done by then? Should I show up early and get my work assignments done beforehand? Will that get me out of there earlier? Who should I talk to to find this stuff out?

I would suggest showing up early (7 am ish) and locating either the worker chief or event chief and explain your situation to them. They should be able to give you an early worker assignement (like the front gate) to fulfil your work assignment obligation. Keep in mind that the earlybird positions are filled quickly. (The front gate is normally filled by the first non-event staff person to show up who says: "hey can I help?" because we have to make sure everybody signs the waivers.).
