Default Alpine ktp-445 with stock radio?

I'd like to install one of these power packs behind the dash in my 08 f-150. I'm not willing to change the factory head unit and can't see any reason why this won't wire up like any other amp and work properly.

The plan was to buy a ford male and ford female wiring harness plugs. Then hard wire into the amps attached wiring harness.
I purchased the factory plugs and wired the amp up as you would an alpine head unit. The whole harness looks good and the wires are labled from the factory.

The problem is after all this was done I tried to install it and the factory headunit powered up and seems to fuction properly but I have no sound coming through the speakers. If I flip the high low switch on the bottom of the amp the speakers make a noise as it flips over.
I only have a few wires that I didn't find a spot for. The blue pwr ant wire, the blue remote wire and a yellowish/stripped wire. I tried to put power to both the ant and the remote wire but didn't have any luck making it produce sound. The amp gets a bit warm so I can tell it is on but doesn't get hot by any means.

I'm to the point where i'm wondering if the factory radio outputs the same wave or voltage or whatever that an aftermarket radio outputs?
Other then that maybe the wiring harness for the input isn't pinned correctly or something.
I have power/switched power/ground all powered and the speaker wires hooked up so this thing should work as far as I can tell.

You guys have any thoughts on this?

Does the truck have the stock amplifier? I'd imagine you did, but have you double checked that you've got the in and out going the right way?
The remote wire is what turns the amp on, it needs to be connected. Finally, that "amp" really isn't meant to be used like that. As best i can tell there is really no gain (aside from a hi/lo switch) or adjustments on it, so you have no way to tune it properly to your system. It's quite likely if you have the basic ford HU it puts out less power than the Alpine HU, so you would need to be able to turn the gain up on the amp to get the same output.

The factory radio have no amp as it's the more basic system with two plugs. The amp is going the correct way as I used the factory wiring connections along with replacement plugs for the ford harness. Just a plug and play thing was the idea.
The ford HU outputs about half wat the alpine does but if it still only netted half the extra power thats still 3x more then I had. Wasn't really trying to go for a big stereo just a small upgrade that could be removed with ease if I ever wanted or needed to.

From reading online the factory output is indeed the same as the aftermarket. If this is true then this should definately work.
Thanks
