Default Electrical issue?

So ive been tinkering under the hood, changing stuff. After putting everything the way i wanted it, i have an issue. The dash lights remain on after the key is turned off and removed. I obviously backtracked and hunted down and inspected everything that i had my hands on and damn if i cant figure out whats going on. i didnt cut into or splice anything electrical. I didnt even replace and sensors with new sensors or anything like that. I did remove emmisions on a late 80s car, tighten the ECU ground, and change the intake manifold out. The clips that i removed to do all of these have been re connected, checked and reconnected again. The problame still exists. Sometimes when i turn the key off the lights go off. Sometimes they stay on till i disconnect the battery.

Anyone have experienced something similar? or is there any electrician/electrical hobby enthusiast that would be able to point me in the right direction to getting this issue resolved?

Not 100% sure but it sounds like it has something to do with the ignition itself. Maybe a bad contact so when you're turning to the off position its not closing the circuit or whatever.

you sure that the little door pressure sensors are just not going out? locate them and press them hard manually. Maybe they are just going out.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.
