Now that Bill and Rob are working here, they have a long relationship with EM (Audison/Hertz) and I have a really good understanding with the lineup. Basically, the Hertz lineup is made to be installed on axis for the most part. That is why, it usually sounds like crap on a display board (much like our JL Audio ZR components). But, when you hear it installed, their whole lineup is nothing short of impressive.

I was on the fence for a long time about this (we are obviously JL fans around here). But, over the last few weeks, I have heard quite a few side by side comparisons throughout the whole lineup, and I am impressed. The only thing that I am not a real fan of is their low line of speakers is all two ohms. So, being considered "cheater" speakers, they tend to sound much louder than anything put against them. If a customer is allowed to play with the display board "unattended", those tend to be the first speakers they go "wow" about. Anyway...

If that's the worst thing that happens when people start playing with the demo board you're doing well!

haha. x2 on the demo board comment.

that being said, demo boards are difficult to set up right.. but its possible.

im not sure what you mean by 2 ohm "cheaters" though... the low end diecis are all 4 ohm speakers.. they do have a very high sensitivity, but thats more because they are meant to be drop in replacments for non-amped systems. we currently have 4 sets in the front doors of a jeep patriot off an ep-4, and the thing JAMS. wish the tweeters were a little brighter, but... they are cheap speakers. cant have it all. haha
