Again, not necessarily Audio, but you guys/girls really loved the pics of the last few GT-Rs we had in here so I figured I would share a few of the last one we had. Starting to see tons of these around the TB area. Seem to be selling pretty well for 2010 (at least from the dealers we service anyway). Suprising since they fetch upwards of $120k here in the south, but around $90k in northern and western states. Must be nice huh....

the film is cut outside and then applied on the inside.

 

Actually, we use a very expensive computer plotter machine to cut all film to manufacturer specs. We NEVER put blades on customers vehicles (especially not a car this expensive-or ANY car for that matter).

The installer is actually shrinking the film on the outside of the back window to form it to match the curvature of the glass. The same is done on the side windows if they have any curvature. A heat gun is used to achieve this moulding of the film.

Then the film liner is removed and the film itself is applied on the inside of the glass (after a ton of cleaning and prepwork of the glass, seals, and surrounding trim).

We got a call from one of the Nissan dealers we service today-the referred a GT-R customer to us for what looks to be a pretty stout JL Audio complete system upgrade. When it comes through, I'll be sure to post up some pics of that!
