dude, i understand you want to show off your work, but take 5 mins and pick up your yard, and use a table to work off of not the ground, it makes it much easier, predrill your holes when using drywall screws, wood wont crack!

it looks like you go around the neighborhood and steal kids toys, inflatable pools and painting supplies on a regular basis.

Is that the fundage for your projects? lol.

Did you ever get that truck interior finished?

splitting your wood, you are either drilling a to small of a hole or not deep enough, for most boxes a 1 5/8 screw will work. The screws just hold it together until the glue dries. try putting some glue on the screws (this will help them lube in but a bitch to come out, or use a bar of soap, scrape screw on it b4 put it in the hole.

nice thanks for the info.. im going to fiberglass the baffle in ( talked to a few people over on floridaspl and they said fiberglassing it in should do the trick ) i think it should be fine i tried to take it out today and it wouldent budge.. so im going to fiberglass it in from both sides and then i got to get some kind of thing for the removeable acess panel to change sub out if it blows. i guess mill have to get some treaded inserts

glass should be fine.
just get some weather stripping 3/4 x 1/4 , and put all the way around, predrill holes every 2" countersink, and done.

ok well it took some convinceing with a hammer to get this baffle out but i took the front off and took the baffle out now i got to sand all the glue off.. this glue is some strong stuff! i didnt have the extra cash to go with fiberglassing it so im just going to rebuild the baffle and put 2 screws in each side.. only the one side cracked it had 4 screws in it.. so this one should come out better.. heres pics for now..
