What kind of vehicle is this going in?

What else is already installed or will be installed in said vehicle?

Do you have a budget?

It sounds like you want to piece the mids and tweeters together individually instead of buying a component set, which will work, but do you have a need to do so?

What have you had in the past as a comparison?

What is your idea of loud and clear?
Are there a lot of subs they'll have to keep up with or will they be doing midbass duty? Which also relates to whether you'll need/want 8's or not...

These all would help. There are a million brands of speakers out there, and hence a million people will tell you their opinion, which may or may not sound good to your ears.

you could try some o2's they freakin scream and are pretty reasonable. I suggest having a proffesional install the tweeters since they are sensitive as hell. If you dont know what you're doing you could mess them up just by putting the wires in the terminals.

i did it 2 weeks ago and had to tear them apart to resolder the leads.
