Today I went to Best Buy to do the normal browsing with no cash on me ...and i decided to browse through the audio department to check out the ridiculous prices they offer and of course there are 3 teenagers (looks like the kid just got his license) and a old man (assuming one of kid is his father)...well anyways of course they turn the music volume so high on the crappy Sony Xplods and it seems like what they hear must be so amazing cause they are all smiling and saying stuff like "dude this shit bangs bro"

Pursuing this further the kid ends up getting the 2 12'' Sony Xplods w/box for $250!!!!! and a Alpine amp for $230....I was going to tell the kid get the Alpine amp and just get a single Type-R 12 and i guarantee it will hit harder than the Xplods...but i decided i'll let him learn what true audio sounds like when he gets older

The main reason why i wrote this cause it is so funny seeing this kid buying this audio equipment and not realizing he can spend less and get better quality.

Yeah, and this is the time of year all that crap gets brought to us for the install. After the kid has played with our display while the install is getting done and is already for his system to bang just as hard as our subs-the look on their face is priceless. Next most popular question? What would that setup on he display have cost me? When they find out it was usually close but with twice as much sound, I always feel bad.

But as was mentioned, we all started somewhere!

 

I usually let them know when I am in Best Buy and see something like that. Of course the sale guy usually gets pissed, but who cares.

^lol, and had i been in this situation id have chimed in to the people buying the equipment, i hate to see someone buy crap audio equipment, could push em away from the hobby

no way man. i was told by guys at best buy they are the best subs they have and the best they make. How can u say sony is bad sony is great!
