Default Couple questions about install?

I have someone to install my system but I have to buy all the wiring. I have an 01 eclipse gt convertible. It has stock cd/cassette with stock speakers. I'm putting in two 12" Sony Xplod 1200watts subs w/ Alpine Vpower 350 watt amp.

My questions are
1. What basic wires do I need to buy and how much of each wire as in how many ft?
2. All I know to ask for is wires. So is there anything else i would need for him that I am not aware of.

He said he would bring me a list but he's very busy and will prolly not remember. Any help is appreciated thanx everyone.

Im pretty sure you can just buy an amp wiring kit. Should come with everything you need and be long enough.

You just need a basic 8 awg wiring kit, and an LOC would be good since you're using the stock hu. If you're near me I have all that stuff here, and i'll hook you up like all TR people get. If you're at the other end of town any stereo shop should have what ya need.

if i were you i would spend a little extra and buy the 4awg kit. Your starting really low now but once you want to experience better sound quality your going to have to upgrade to bigger and better amps.

I personally wouldnt want to run wires twice.

to answer your question, you can buy a wiring kit that will have all the wires needed. i would go 4g wire as well. i would avoid walmart wiring kits myself though...

either will be fine, id only run 4ga beacuse you may want to get a bigger amp in the future and it would help out.

I'm right on 49th street, between 118thave and 110thave. About 1/8 mile north of 110th.

I always suggest 4awg wire for the same reason others have said, so you're set for future expansion. The 8awg will work great with that amp, but if there are plans to ever add anything or get a bigger one the 4awg would be a wiser investment.
