Default Subwoofer feedback

Ok so I finished an install on a friends 01 Camaro, Hifonics BX1500D amp, 2.0 Farad cap, 2 Kicker L7's, PAC line converter with remote trigger, and stock monsoon with CDT speakers. Now when I turn the radio off I get a hard bass hit from feedback untill the amp turns off from the subs. I still have to re-hook up the line converter to the factory subs instead of the rear speakers as I didnt think about the amp not having a crossover as I can hear the subs producing voice. Any input is helpful

Also the ground is good, RCA's are away from power wire. System sounds great when playing... Just this turning off bullshit

Monsoon systems are a pain in the tail. What you have is called a turn off pop. Try this: With the system on, remove the remote lead from the amp and let it turn off while the rest of the system stays on. Does it pop? I'll bet it doesn't, but lets find out for sure. Now try powering the amps turn-on lead from the +12 volt constant, and turn off the car but leave the amp on. I'll bet that's when it pops. This may or may not be an easy fix. Using the LOC with the signal sensing turn on circuit is part of the problem. It's holding the amp on for a time after there is no signal, thus the amp is shutting down after everything else. Try running that to a true accessory wire and see if that helps.

Default Pop Stopper

There are Noise Filters Called Pop Stoppers (Stinger sgn21) WHICH CAN USUALLY GET RID OF THESE pops also but you need to determine what is causeing it and then hook up the Pop Stopper accordingly.

Luke was describing how to determine if it is being caused by the most common cause which would tell you how to get rid of it or how to use a Pop Stopper to get rid of it.

Exactly, assuming it's popping when I'll bet it is the pop stopper would be used hold the HU on for a second allowing the amp to turn off first, but the amp's turn on lead will need to be take off of that LOC.....the signal sensing LOC is going to hold the amp on for a few seconds after everything else is off. It delays because you wouldn't want your amp switching off between tracks, or during a break in the music.

I cut the PAC controller out of the equation and now its just used for the input and ran a remote wire to the amp and problem solved...
