they are VERY good.. the amps are sisters of sundowns pretty much.. the subs get very loud!! if you want to have more daily power get the aluminum coils..

I've done a system for a customer who brought me their AQ1200D and 15" HDC woofer. The first amp was dead out of the box and the customer was blatantly lied to by the owners of AudioQue about it, then charged 30$ to get their new amp from them. Later on the woofer's coil came apart. It wasn't burned or bottomed out, that i could tell - it just came apart off the former. When it did of course it shorted the amp, and the amp exploded instead of going into protection. Last I had heard from the customer AudioQue had decided to NOT warranty the product for no good reason. I do think this particular customer was pretty hard on his stuff, but everything was within spec and within rating and should not have failed so easily.
Another customer has the same amp and one of their woofers, and came in asking me for a custom box. After calling repeatedly and emailing many times neither me or the customer could get in contact with anyone to discuss the optimal enclosure, and I wont build an enclosure for a woofer I'm unfamiliar with without at least checking with the manufacturer. I could run the specs through BassBox Pro but after dealing with them I doubt the specs are accurate and honest.
Also this company suggests wire nuts or even twist-n-tape for their connections. How professional!
Yes, it was loud. I highly doubt the amp was doing anywhere near 1200 watts though. I ended up replacing all of this customer's stuff with an MTX 7500 series 15 and a 600xd MTX amp which does a realistic 600 watts RMS. I think the overall sound quality of the setup was better and I thought it was very, very close to equal voume.

As bad as Luke experiences are with them, I have heard a ton of good reviews about them. Never used their equipment, but I have spoken to DJ directly before when considering using their equipment.

HDC3s do not fit into the same catagory as the Qs or Xcons. I would say more along the lines of a BL or Icon, but it is still a much very different sub than both of those.
