1500 watts at what though?

 

Lookin into havin some models at the show

 

They rate power at the most your amp is capable of doing . example is your amp is capable of doing 1500 rms at 1 ohm you are but are running at 4 ohm and doing 600 rms you are still classed at the 1500 .

 

I have an amp here that will do an excessive butt load of power, but it's got no case. It's a hand built one off that's just the board mounted to a hunk of plexi. there's no ratings printed on it and nobody but me knows the true specs, lets just say you need to get your alternators out for this one.
How does that get rated?

 

As head judge I have a degree in electronics and can tell your power output by looking at supply and count your mosfets.Not hard at all.

Nah I'm just messing with ya dude. Although some people might benefit by opening up their amps and letting you have a look. They'd find out their cheap "3000 watt amps" are really 500 watt amps in a bigger box.
