My guys really enjoyed it. I am not sure that liquid ice was really covered much (they didn't say) but I have read allot about it on some private forums. Those that have used it say it works up really well. On of my installers may chime in on it here though.

We haven't had the need for the liquid ice yet but I may sponsor a build in my lead installers trunk so he has a chance to work with it and have another display vehicle here for the customers.

We are debating on the videos also. According to my general manager, what you would get out of them depends on what kind of learner you are. I have some "jump in" guys and some "analyze it more" guys. I'll probably get them so I'll let you guys know how they are either way.

I'd skip the video's and just get the stuff and use it to learn, it's pretty simple if they have the basics of fiberglass resin down. Honestly to me you have to learn fabrication by doing it. Liquid Ice is just a clear casting resin. You work it pretty much the same as fiberglass resin, with one exception. Be very careful and slow when stirring the catalyst into it so you don't whip air into the mixture. Any air bubbles that you get in it will show up in the final part, and if you go too fast you'll cloud the whole mixture with 1000 tiny bubbles. Most of the "liquid ice" I've seen comes out of the can blue, then dries clear. They do have tints you can drop in it, but I've never used them. Really there aren't a lot of applications where the liquid is a better choice than just cutting and routering plexi the way you want it. The only real application is if you need some crazy shape that you just can't get with a router.
