Short answer, no a cap will not be alright. Upgrade the big 3 wiring in the engine bay and think about an alternator instead if you are still having troubles.

Im not haveing power trouble with the xtra battery, but if I get rid of the xtra battery and get a cap I will run into power issues? How much are the aftermaket alternators roughly and how many amps are they? My factory alternator is 90 Amps

make sure to subtract what your engine/car actually use from that 90 amps. My engine 6cly draws 11 amps without the coils firing.

And at cruising speeds (2000-2400rpm) your alternator produces slightly more than half of that rating.

Default My Opinion

I would personally recomend doing the Big 3 like mentioned above and then find a smaller in size specialty battery like Stinger or Kinetic.

Both Stinger and Kinetic have batteries just as good as an Red Top in about a 1/3 of the physical size
