there will be a DB Drag & Bass Race 1x event & IASCA IdbL & Everblast Bass Boxing 1x event. The event will take place at

1255 E. Fletcher Ave.,
Tampa, FL 33612

registration will start at 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. competition will start at 12 p.m. and run through 5 p.m., Fees will be $25.00 for any 1 event or $40.00 for any 2 events, or $70 for all 4 events, IASCA & dB Drag will be giving trophies for 1st place & medals for 2nd - 3rd

Is there really nobody into grass-roots level SQ anymore? I'm not talking the pinkie-out tea drinking snooty fest that the larger iasca events have become, but simple install quality and SQ judging for systems that actually sound good? So far everyone says Jet gets pretty much zero SQ turnout for his shows and most others dont even offer it.

 

At both of the shows that we hosted by Jet (Style N Sound) had 2 to 4 SQ entries. I assumed that this was average for his shows.

You could Call RnR Wheels and ask them then post it up for the rest of us

 

I would be down with grassroots SQ in my own car and would normally come out to this show since its fairly close to my house, but I will be in Clearwater all day on the 26th, not to mention I just blew one of my subs a week ago.

We need to find a half dozen or so people who want to get into the SQ side and see if we can't get something going at Jet's shows or something. I'm going to be doing the system in my truck sometime soon when i find a spare minute, and it should be pretty good sounding but it's not at all for SPL.

If your serious we have a gentlemen right here in Tampa that is very much involved in the SQ arena.

His name is Eddie and he is the owner of Tropical Car Stereo on Columbus Ave in Tampa, He is also the International Sales Manager for DLS America.

His personal truck is very sweet and I am positive he could hook you up with some more folk in the area that are into SQ.

 

I know Eddie actually, he's a good dude. I worked with the guy who built Eddie's truck. I'm pretty sure he no longer owns Tropical though, and I'm not even sure he still works for DLS. But either way, that doesn't matter...I am serious. I'm not talking about Iasca style events, I'm thinking a more laid back idea that puts the emphasis on the SQ and the installation quality of cars. And by that i mean the actual integrity of the work, not how flashy or anything. Anything to get more people interesting in GREAT sound, not just loud noise.

 

Eddie from DLS really is a good dude. He lives about 5 minutes north from my shop. He comes by from time to time. The last we saw him was at the Audio America show late last year. And yes, his truck is INCREDIBLE. His Crossfire sounds/looks pretty sick also...

 

So is anyone going to this competition?

 

i am trying to get the tahoe there - but it being in HIN and then party after who knows if they can get up in time to get there!!!
