Default PA/Loudspeaker setup?

Hello all,

I'm trying to do a loudspeaker setup in my truck. I want to be able to play my music through it and possibly use a mic on it. I'm not to worried about being able to speak out of it, I just wanna be able to play my music through it. How would I go about doing this?

Thanks.

If i may ask, if you don't want to speak why do you need a mic?

If you don't want to speak through it, you can buy a PA horn for like $30 from Radio Shack. You can run it off a channel of your stereo.

If you want a true PA that you can speak through, you can purchase a kit with a control box, a PA horn, and a mic for under $100 anywhere online or Radio Shack. They usually have an aux input that you can adapt one channel of your stereo to run through.

Out here in Land O Lakes, the rednecks all have CB's. So we just hook the PA horn through the external speaker output of the CB box. They flip the switch to PA and whistle at deer or country girls or whatever.
