New system build log.
Another build log to keep you guys from getting bored on this forum
So here's what im putting together:
2 12" RE MX's
Possibly 2 audioque 1200d's (Any info on these would be great as in quality, any problems or great experiences, specifications, etc.)
2 Kinetik KHC 2400's
*Try to resepct that this is going to be my daily driver to be clean, but also i wouldn't mind getting it metered and shutting up these pinellas park craptalkers LOL*
I'll have pics of the process up whenever this thing gets rollin, just looking for some talk about it and your guys views/opinions...

Head unit? Mids and highs, and amp for them? What vehicle is this going in?
What made you choose RE? Because for the price/performance, I would've leaned towards Fi or Ascendant, not only for price/performance, but also for the fact that I would rather support Scott Atwell than RE, because Scott is a legend in subwoofers and I would trust any sub he makes.
Since you have only 2 posts here, here is a little background. Scott Atwell is the founder of RE and designed all their subs, until a few years ago when Scott left to start Fi. In early 2007, Scott partnered with Chad Kuypers of Ascendant Audio, which even before the partnership also made some badass subs. The two are now somewhat sister companies with varying lines of subs. The bang for the buck in either of these brands is near impossible to beat.
That being said, personally, if I were throwing 1200 watts at each sub, my choice would be a pair of Ascendant Audio Havocs. But what do I know, its not like I am an installer for a living (sarcasm, as I am).

ya well everyone has a budget kpr10is hes doin the best a 16 year old without a job can i myself went wit ascendant as im also in the process of putting 4 15 ascendant chaos in my grand cheerokee and that-away is my buddy so no picking on him lol but ya fi/ascendant straight bangs wat u got and were u install at?
The MX is a great sub, quality is outstanding. If I had the money to afford it, I would go with it all day over an Fi/AA sub, just because everyone and their mom has a Fi/AA sub, and the build quality isn't matched from Fi/AA. If budget is in issue, you may want to check these out, but if your in the market for a excellent SQ sub and outstanding build quality, and a sub that doesn't use the typical 12 spoke basket, than the MX is definatley a good choice for you.
I have heard great things about the AQ1200s, but never have owned one or seen one in action. I would probally use a single 2400 in the rear and a 1400 or 2000 as a starting battery, with the big 3 of course, that should be more than enough.

About Fi/AA, Im really familiar with them, I know the main dealer around here for Ascendant, i've heard the backround of the companies a couple times but nothing really in depth. I actually was going to go with 2 12" AA chaos, but i got these from a guy in tampa for the same price i was going to pay for with the chaos. Trust me, if i could have saved up, I would have gone with a havoc/BL all day long, but this is only my second system (First system actually worth a crap though).
Now doesn't RE, Fi, and Ascendant all have some sort of a connection?

727kid, yes 'everyone and their mom' on the car audio forums has Fi and AA, but in 5 years of installing, I can count on my hands the number of people who I've dealt with who have even heard of either brand.
OP, if you're getting a good price on them anyway, go for it.
stiggymaynee, it seems as if the comma, period, and shift buttons on your computer are broken, and therefore I got a headache reading your post. Please check your keyboard and try again

Agreed. Being a professional in the automotive industry for my entire adult life (15 years), I have actually seen VERY few customers that were not in the business that have actually owned either Fi or AA. Of course every keyboard ninja has them but it is funny that so few ever actually post pics with the proof. I love the internet...
