Default Need Some Help

so yeah iam not an audio person but ive hooked up a couple and i just installed a new alpine ipod only head unit in my dd its a 95 monte carlo and when the unit is on my speedo bounces around crazy and when i turn the unit off speedo works fine a buddy of mine said it could be feedback in the ground idk any input would be greatly appreciated

your friend could be right... I would rewire the deck. New power wire strait from the battery, (I have 10 gauge running to my deck) and that should solve your problem...

you dont have to run a power wire from your battery, first run a new good ground wire from a good metal mount, then check your resistance with a meter from battery to ground and fram ground to engine - correct any resistance that is there and you should be good. I bet you have a ground issue - and your factory radio was grounded thru the antennea which is not good enough now.
