I changed the set up in my trunk and I think I need to upgrade to a larger gauge for my power wire.

The amp in the trunk now is a 1000 watt sony, currently I have 8 gauge power running to it, the amp is grounded using 4 gauge.

I have 2 runs of 8 gauge already ran in the car, can I reverse a distribution block or should i even worry about it?

If I was to reverse a distribution block would I need to keep the same (say 80 amp) fuses throughout the system? two 80s under the hood then 2 in the block?
