Default probend bandpass box or sealed box + kicker comps???

I have a probend bandpass quad ported box with plexiglass...it sounds good with my comp vrs...so i'm buying a set of newer 12" comps *non vr* wondering if it'll sound better in the sealed box or my bandpass box

someone will correct me if i'm wrong. but i think the bandpass will typically allow lower response where sealed will produce quicker response. so a sustained low note in a song will come across better threw band pass but rapid fire bass drum action should be cleaner in a sealed box.

i have a single 10 in a bandpass box that has been my "something went wrong with the other gear" system for a long time. to me it sounds dam good in the trunk of my gs now since my rainbows took a crap on me.
