radio plays fine and sounds good but when i play any cd the speakers take turns cutting on and off or just both cut off at the same time which is most of the time... if i hit bumps in the road or brake it will come back for a little while then go off again or they are very dim at the highest volume .... speakers arent blown and i checked for anything loose or any wires disconnected in the amp .... i disconnected and reconnected everything and still nothing... any1 have a clue what could be the problem?

 

Sounds like it's the amp, an internal short. You'll probably need a new amp. Exactly what all do you have that's not factory??

 

Sounds like the HU if it's just when you play CDs.
