Try getting something that more than accommodates the 1200 RMS watts of the total setup. This will ensure the amp makes the full power that the subwoofers are theoretically capable of outputting while reducing any strain that the amp would have to endure.

Kinda like having a powerful enough car without hitting redline all the time.

Also just remember to tune all of your stuff properly. Make sure that you set subsonic filters or crossovers HPFs and LPFs accordingly, that way a lot of the energy isn't wasted in frequencies the box/subwoofers aren't really capable of producing or just suck at it in general.

Good luck eh.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

depends on whether it's 2000 wRMS or peak. Peak doesn't help you.

Be very careful with the new MTX amps. Circuit City is selling this junk and not taking it back when it blows. We have had several customers over the last few months that have come to us for diagnosis, only to find their recently purchased MTX amp is junk. The last Explorer customer that we swapped into an Alpine took the MTX back just a week after purchasing it due to it not functioning, and he had to argue to even just get a store credit. Typical garbage from C.C.
