Default How long should a battery hold a charge?

in a car that is parked and not turned on? i hit a deer 2 days before christmas, my car sat for almost a week before i started it again, it kinda stuttered but started, it then sat for prolly 2 weeks and i had to jump it. that day i rewired some things and ever since then if the car sits for more then 2 days the battery is dead, its an optima Red Top, does that sound right or did i do something when i rewired?

here is a list of all the electrical things i have in my car, would all this draw enough when the car is off to kill the car? (everything is wired correctly and if it should be on acc power, it is.)

normal, or where should i start hunting?

previous to my accident the car had never sat for more then 2 days, and always started fine. and when i rewired all i did was move around some wires for things i added to hide them better/ make it look cleaner.

sounds like you need to fix the battery, low charge in a battery causes bad stuff to accumulate that keeps the battery from charging.. there are kits to repair it, i am sure someone on here can point you in the right direction

think it might be sulfer? don't remember..

with all the stuff listed above would i be better suited switching to a yellow top and just pay the difference? with a yellow top it wouldnt ever be any issue again, right? they can deep cycle and not care? its an 07 Scion tC and the battery was about 9 months old....

and part 2 of the question, the car will be at the shop for at least another 6 days, it will be in the paint booth most of that time, should we move the car where it needs to be with the bad battery. then go get it tested, if its bad get a new one and not use it until were done? or put it in and let the car drain it for that week?
