I would run two separate fuses to two separate ring terminals connencted directly to the battery or you run the risk of bottlenecking everything there.

On the other end, you dont need a fuse unless you have a battery in the rear as well. Use an unfused distro block and keep the length of wire between the block and the amp extremely short or again you run the risk of bottlenecking.

I've done this so let me pitch in. Basically treat each run as if it was the only run. If you have a battery in the back fuse before each battery (so 2 fuses per run).

Ugh, I ended up doing 3 runs of 16ga to each terminal leading from the subwoofer to the amp. Tested it out and it seems to be running just fine. Now i just need to tune my amp to get it to stop being "laggy" on certain songs. I'm almost positive it's because the subsonic filter is set on 15hz and the low pass is set on 250 (Basically the min/max of each) and the bass gain is up at around +12...

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

15hz and 250? That is a huge range for a sub... most people only play their subs up to 63/80hz and bottom end of ~30hz

Like I said, i just put the thing in, lol.

Any time I reinstall something, I default amps back to all settings 0. The only thing I had left up was the bass gain because the preamps weren't delivering enough signal before I realized that the bass was set to -1 on my headunit.(due to other crappy subwoofer/box) Generally I always start off everything with that huge range and just narrow it down from there.

I guarantee you aren't playing 15hz even without a subsonic filter.

I guarantee I am not either. But it's still wasting energy trying to play low frequencies that I really don't care to hear.

I've already fixed it for the most part and it sounds damn good.

As for the wires...well, basically a 16 ga, 4 ga, whatever is made up of lots of 32ish gauge wires in parallel...that should answer that question.

As to amp settings...watch those bass boost controls...they tend to suck. In addition to being very sloppy, they can eat up all your amp head room in a hurry. Figure 3db boost (be it from a bass boost knob, you headunit, whatever) takes twice as much power, and you'll see how a 12db boost can cause lots of problems.
