In-Dash question
Hey guys. So I have a Panasonic in-dash that I put into my Integra a while ago. Everything works fine on it except for the DVD part. It won't let me watch DVD's. I have heard that there is a way to wire the ground so it will let you. Also, I have heard that it has to be in Park for it to play, but since my car is a manual I can't even test that.
Anyway, rep to anyone who can help me out with this one.
Thanks a lot!

This has been posted so many times, I'm going to have to ask that you do what your name implies and google it.

Have to agree with P057. Google your model first (ex: panasonic video bypass) first. You will find a wealth of info out there...

Trust me, I have. I was told to hook the yellow(ignition) wire to a bolt on the car. I tried that but it wouldn't turn on without the ignition. I'm sure this is a simply solved problem. I just can't find a solution. Anybody out there have any idea what's up?
then at least put the model number on here. It's not exactly easy to find out how to help you when you don't give us much information to work with....

Interesting... especially since the yellow wire is main power.. not ignition...
Not only that, why the hell would you do that? How is the unit even supposed to power up from a bolt? Did someone find the secret to infinite power?

Seriously, I have no idea with wires. Yes, yellow is ignition, red is the power. So if your going to try to make fun of someone. Get your shit together. Sorry about not posting the model number, I wasn't sure if it was all universal and the wires were the same on all models. It's a Panasonic cqvd-7001u. I've never done ANYTHING with wires. Any help would be great.

Haha, I'm making fun of the dude whoever told you to wire power to a bolt.

Yellow is constant power, needs to be connected to a power source that is on even when the ignition is off. Red is ignition, should be connected to a power source that switches on/off with the ignition of the car.
Blue/Yellow stripe is the parking brake sensor wire. Ground out the blue/yellow stripe wire and it should play anytime.
