Default Need help picking a speaker

I'm looking to put new speakers in my car; my price range is $100-150 per pair and there are 4 6.5" speakers in the car (2 front door, 2 rear deck). I'm stuck between: JBL, Boston Acoustics and Infinity. Which is a better quality speaker and has the best clarity mids-highs?

Depends on what you like, seriously.

Infinity makes some damn bright highs.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

Default Depends

Really depends on the type of music you listen to and on how you listen to your music. I will tell you this if you listen to a lot of hip hop and rap or Rock I would not recomend Infinity. It has been my experience that Infinity makes beautiful sounding speakers but they do not handle any abuse. JBL on the other hand is excellent quality of sound and can handle plenty of abuse, I have no real first hand experience with Boston Acoustics but have never heard anything bad about it either

i had a set of alpine type r components in my civic. got them for about $140 and they sounded pretty good in the door with some deadening. if i were you i would keep it stock in the rear deck and just get a nice front stage.

Go to Circuit City and buy some Polks. They are buy one set get one half off, they sound really good, and I've had the same four Polks in my cars for four years now and have never had a problem. Just my two cents..

While there is nothing wrong with any of the brands mentioned, none of them really stand out, in my opinion.

I have some Oz Vector coaxes and seperates that I'm letting go at cost...a great 'sleeper' brand. $40 a pair for the coax's and $60 for the seperates. I'd put these up against anything from JL, MB Quart, or most others under $200 a pair.

Also in your price range I have Image Dynamics, and for a little more you could get Critical Mass RS6's...carbon cone, neo magnet, 12db crossover, oversized tweeter, super shallow mount.

How those RS6s sound? Sound impressive from how you describe them.

Does anyone have any experience with Diamond audio? I was doing some more research and came across these and it's being described as the premier speaker for sound quality on the market today.
