Satellite Radio..
XM or Sirius? I'm contemplating getting sat. radio b/c of the utter lack of radio stations here in Gainesville and also for talk radio and the like. Anyone have opinions on either brand? Thanks.

In my opinion instead of spending $100+ for the unit plus $15 a month for the subscription or however much it costs, I would get an I-pod or mp3 player and hook it up to an fm mdulator. You can listen to the songs of your choice as well, even though xm has a wide variety of stations and music(most commercial free) with an mp3 player you can listen to whatever songs you choose.
XM and Sirius are merging soon so it wont matter soon. get sirius anyways.... but it depends on what you like to listen to, there are a few subscriber specific channels... So either wait it out or get one or another based on shows or if you cant decide get sirius
FM modulators are garbage.
and fuck mp3 players.
Just get a decent mp3 cd player. much less money and much less clutter + better sound.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.
Sometimes, mine is good, but still even with mp3/cdplayer i think is better than paying the money for the unit plus a subscription and sometimes it may not play all the music you want. (if you love talk shows and listening to sports on the radio well then thats a different sotry..)
i personally like sirius, i have to listen to XM and sirius all day and it seems like XM is like 93.3 or 98.7 and repeats the same songs over and over...they have more talk showes on sirius too....and like dan said there merging soon anyways....just waiting on the paperwork from what i hear...

word up to your mother
I'm wondering how the new XM/Sirius merger is going to affect the satellite radio market.... now that there isn't one due to monopolization.
I'd expect your rates to go up Sat. Subscribers!

Now there's some logic!
