well about 3 weeks agaio they had a DB drag down the road. took my freinds car 1984 buick skylark 2 12's in a bandpass box 1 sony 10 in the cab 10's hooked to a sony 1000 watt 12's are hooked to a sony 1200 watt. 1st time wasa 139.5 2nd on a diff meter was a 129.5 are these any good? now we upgraded and now we got 6 12's and 1 10 soon to add another 1200 watt amp.

 

not bad for such shitty equipment. btw dont mix sub sizes.

yeah... 139 isnt too bad... for the crap equipment.



really only if you overlap the frequencies that they play at.

leave the big subs for playing ... ie. 30-60 hz and the smaller subs at 70-150 hz i guess.

I actually want to try this out extensively. and try and find a good combination between two 12's and two 10's.

well im hopeing for a 148 maybe 150 with the 6 12's the jesens that where in the bandpass are now gone and there 2 kenwoods in there

 

if i was your friend i would buy 2-4 really good subs.. and you should see in the mid 145 range if you have decent amps on them..and what kind of meters were used for the big difference in the runs??

sooo, why did you run 1000 watts to one 10 and only 200 more to 2 12's??

and now you have 6 12's ( what kind) running off the 1200 watt amp???

SPL is SPL.

It doesnt matter what size the subs are as long as they receive proper power to maintain phase.

Unles you know what kind of meter it was on, the numbers are pretty useless. 139 is good for the equipment, 129 is disapointing.

 

Ya'll obviously don't know how to install well (no offense). And 150 let alone 148 is very hard to reach. The Kicker Van with 16 12s hit like 150 on the TL with the CVRs.
