^^^

The rated power is 750 watts rms. That means 750 continuosly. What formulas are there in that? 1000watts of power will never be presented to the sub in any continous form even at full volume. Wtf is so complicated about that?

I'm not talking about the percentage of time it does this, or any other off the wall variable you can come up with in your over-calculating little head.

Number one, a sub is much more prone to blowing in a ported box, no matter what wattage you're throwing at it. Number two, there's a reason why manufacturers put rated specs on their equipment. Overpowering a sub AND throwing it a big ported box is never a "safe" situation. Number three, I talk from experience, something that anyone who has been in car audio for more than several years will tell you is way more valuable than anything you learn in school, textbooks, theories, or calculations.

+1121213443 man.. there is no point in arguing with this dude.. i mean come on he has a damn electroball thing in his back seat and an amazing 1 sub that hit like 120 or somthing???

Umm yes it will. That's 1000w RMS. Is it giving it 1000w RMS 100% of the time, no. But it's getting it for far more than a split second, especially if your crossover is set at anything above 40hz. Most subs don't blow from a split second burst of power anyways, it's a progressive build up of heat in the voice coil that kills them.

Haha yeah, I think I'm going to wait a little on the next one. This one is plenty and and some songs drains out the comps. So I think my next goal is to do 3 comps in each door. But I do change my mind a lot so who knows lol.

Any suggestions on rattling? It rattles the hell out of my trunk and I already have 1 layer of dynamat laid down, am I going to have to lay down several layers before it significantly decreases?

You need to really pinpoint where the rattle is coming from. That's the hardest part. You may need another layer of dynamat, but I'm willing to bet you simply haven't found the exact location of the rattle.
