Hey so sometimes when i start up my car my sub just dosnt turn on...like today i got in and after a couple min of driving it just kicked in...i just tightned all the easy to get to connections coudl that be it? or is there more to it

 

Well if it turns on after a while.... then just wait a bit.

Turn on your car, open the trunk, look at the amp powering the sub, check for the protection LED (if your amp does it that way) to switch to 'On'. What sort of amp do you have?

I know mine always takes about 5-8 seconds to switch on right after i turn the car on.

 

i got a JBL 1200 watt amp...yeah i can understand a short relay of acouple seconds but not 5 min...and it only happens some times

 

Check both ends of your ground, remote turn on, and power wire/fuse holder. It could also be the amp itself or the deck itself. Next time it cuts out, check the amp and see if it's still lit up or not.
