-----))>> Official AHQ Car Audio MEET, This Saturday <<((------
Looking at the calendar, the next one is scheduled for Sept. 9. That's the Saturday after Labor Day, so it doesn't get in to the long weekend.
Next time, I'll try to 'organize' the metering a bit better...if nothing else, get the big guns to take a break while we meter cars
I'll also work on the bass race format, and see if we can get that going.
Dan brings up a good point about socializing...its always going to be tough, with that many people, showing up at different times, but it would be nice to but faces with cars and TR names. I hate to resort to goofy nametags, but we should do something. How about more of a 'car show' format...everyone gets a sheet to fill in with their name, screen name, and list of mods, that they can put on their car. Ideally, they'd leave the car open, so people walking by can see what's in there. This way, at least we'll know you are there, somewhere, and can track you down if we want.
Again, it won't matter what you bring, what you have, what you meter, or how much Dalton thinks you overpaid...its all for fun.

Toby and John, yeah that sounds like a great idea.
The only thing that worries me about that is that it gets pretty dark outside toby's shop towards the back "parking areas" which brings up the fact on security.
What sort of security, besides the basis of trust, do we have to make sure that everyone can be at ease enough to leave their cars open to the 'general public'?

just kidding. Well, its not like you open your trunk, and go down the block. Part of the point would be to have all the cars together in one area, so all of us are together, in the same area. I also don't think we have a 'general public' at these shows, and in case you didn't notice, my whole back area is fenced, so it would be hard for someone to sneak up on us, or for someone to sneak out with your gear, after they stealthily uninstalled it from your car. Getting some sort of registration / sign in will also help, as that way people will know that someone saw them come in.And, I'm actually going to be putting some more lights out there before the next meet, but I don't see security at the shows as a big problem. Heck, I leave my garage open to all of you questionable characters...

yeah i was mainly referencing to your lighting
. It was rather dark out last night BUT was really cool when we saw those systems light up. Wasnt too bad at all, not at all.
To avoid higher electrical bills, i'm sure that somehow dalton can wire up a 3-stage lighting system out of 4 potatoes, a gallon of water, and a voltage regulator all bought at walmart.

I forgot to add... Anyone with additional ideas or suggestions to make this meet even better, don't hesitate to share. This is yalls meet after all...any and all input is welcome.
