No just a normal harness, dash kit and antenna adaptor but if you don't know how to get the radio out have fun cause you gotta take out/apart most of the dash. IMO I think working on them sucks and i hate them with a passion but it might not be too bad for you.

But if your talking about the security code it asks for if you unplug it or when the battery dies, then just make sure you have it or you won't be able to use the stock radio again. It should be on a little business card in the pages of your owner's manual.

I know on a 2000 cavalier you have to have this little black box that wires up to the back of the head unit. It makes the door chime, keyless entry, and ignition work properly. Don't know if 1999 is the same or not.

did you start the clock before you removed the entire upper and lower dash trim or after you woke up from your nap?

good point - wake up from napping on work bench (there scheduling is a joke) thats from pulling the car in the bay to pulling it out. - taking the dash off is a 4 minute ordeal with a screw gun and skew driver and a 9/32 socket - the only pain in the ass is you have to run you own ignition wire to the fuse box.....

I challenge you to do a complete deck install in a Cavalier (requiring the dash pulled) at one of the meets in 20mins. We'll take bets.

I got $10 says he does it but when its done it wont turn on

Just kidding, im almost positive if you pull those dash panels off, crimp the harness, install the chime module (which you dont need to run new ignition wires for - the box sends them) and put it all back together in 20 minutes you will break one of the dash pieces.
