slot port help
Wassup I am into car audio I do installs on the side. I am not a crtified installer or anything like that. What i do is basic installs and build sealed boxes. I give this background because I know you guys are kinda tough on people not knowing much and and acting like that they know everything. Here is my question I have to put a port that is 1.75 wide by 18.5 high by 18.5 long,
but becuase the box is 9 deep I can only go 7.25 at this poit I have to make a left handed 90 degree angle. How do you measure to compensate for the bends? Thank you very much guys

Oh I apologize I have spent the greater part of this week since late Friday night at Morton Plant Mease hospital with my cousin. Unfortunately he is 18 and has been diagnosed with cancer, so my time has been limited. I am going there today after work, he had some biopsy done today. He leaves the hospital this Friday so unfortunately there is nothing I can do until Saturday as far working on my system ie shopping. I have spent hours drawing with him his car and the mods he wants. He is in good spirits anyway. I do apologize for not having gotten with on the cap. Also I only have internet at my job mon - fri

Shape of the port isnt the most important thing when it comes to ported boxes, port volume is.
So to compensate for a 90 degree bend, draw a line, imagainary or real, in the port, represented byt he dashed line...

the red line is what you need to measure. Imagine as if two completley different ports and just added together.
