I dont know any of the details or anything, but I know there is a big audio fair at the fair grounds today in Tampa. That being the Florida State Fair Grounds, right over there by the Ford Ampitheater. Apparently there are gonna be super big deals and what not on stuff. I dont know much else, just getting the word out.

 

I heard it on the radio....1000 watt amps, $40, etc. They did mention some real names like Alpine, Kicker, etc, but I'm skeptical.

I haven't been to one of these in many years, but usually they have a bunch of stuff you've never heard of, and some factory reconditioned stuff. The reconditioned stuff can be a good deal, but warranty is an issue.

If anyone goes, I'd be interested in hearing what it was like. I might try to make it out there myself, just to see what they have.

These things are a total waste of time. I've been to a few with high expectations only to find out they don't have 3/4's of the stuff they advertised and the stuff they do have is all off-brand crap. Don't waste your time or money.

 

I know this thread is old but I just wanted to clear some stuff up. The audio sale was hosted by Circuit City. There were some really really good deals going on there and like you said lots of refurbished items. You could have a refurbished L5 for like 90 bucks that still had the 1 year kicker warranty and you could still buy circuit city's extended warranty. I worked there on sunday and some of the deals going on there even suprised me. If you hear of anther one happening which there should be this year, then its probably worth your time to at least come and look around.

 

I was gonna check out the deals, but right as I pulled in I spotted the hottest thing this side of russia and had to go talk to her and I never got back.

there was two. the circuit city one was like a week or two before the shitty one.. the circuit city one had some good ass deals
