Default 2 kicker comp vrs

yeah im totally fed up with that gay ass 2 kicker comp vrs in the premade kicker box ported at 2 ohms,,, i run that shit to this 1800 watt mono block kenwood amp,,, it'll get really really really loud like it should,, but the amp 'll get hot after like, 7 min's or less lol, and cut out,, and i had the 1700 watt mono block amp hooked up 2 it before that,, and it was even louder but the shit cut out after about 2 min's weird.... but yeah,, i dont really think it has anything to do wiht the amp deff not the wiring or install cuz i had 2 pro's totally inspect my shit and nothing wrong there,, so i really think it's the subs ,,, im gonna buya diamond 15 inch sub just 1 for now and hook it up to this 1800 watt mono block amp which will be overpowering it by some,, but just see how it runs i have this really really good feeling that this amp is gonna work a lot better wiht just one powerful sub at 2 ohms instead of this weird ass wired bullshit puttin out 1.8 ohms on the volt meter, which was pre wired by kicker lol. fed up with kicker that's all i can say,, fed up wiht systems att his point really ,, dont know what kinda amp i'll need to power two 15's though they run at 750 rms each,,,, and would i need a new power battery so my main battery doesn't run out, or alternator burn up,, i gota 99 crown vic idk if it's better on voltage maybe so

Sorry, if you don't have some sort of battery isolation, and your 1800 watt amp doesn't make your lights dim, you don't have an 1800 watt amp.

Even at 100% efficiency, and 14.4 volts (of which you probably have neither) 1800 watts is 125 amps. With a 130 amp alternator, that only gives you 5 amps to run the engine, AC, lights, etc. There will be a voltage drop, and that will make your lights dim. At a more realistic 65% efficiency and 13.5 volts, your looking at over 200 amps of current.

and you would need a 10-20farad cap to maintain 11 volts for one and a half seconds.

wait let me guess, its a Pyle high efficiency amp?

thats 1800 max power maybe... so id say 900 rms at most.. and i dont see what the kicker subs have to do with your amp shutting off

i dont know ,, i've just read reviews on my kenwood amp how this one guy had two powerful tens hooked up 2 it and it would always cut out after a couple min's of blasting the music,, then he hooked up a 2 ohm kicker square and it never overheated and never cut out,, i have no clue what's wrong with my shit,, i'll turn the gain down tomorrow see what happens .. and yeah it doesn't run at 1800 watts , that's just the max that i guarantee 'll never come outta that amp let alone any amp, lol,,, and it rms's at 900 watts and umm that's kind of a big lie 2,, i'd say it might rms at 600 or 500,, cuz my friends amp that maxes at 800 runs around 4 or 5 his subs sound about the same as mine just a tad bit quieter idk, lol. i might have it checked out again monday at a different place but 2 people at auto audio in palm harbor said everything was hooked up perfectand they messed with the gains and boost all that and it ended up sounding like 1 10 in my trunk u couldn't e vne barely hear it ,, so idk. could be that stinger has shitty 4 guage wire or some shit, lol,,, or maybe 4 guage wire is 2 big for a ground wire lol jk i have no clue and im fed up.. i'll just turn the gains down tomrrow and see what happens,, and funny how the 1700 watt mono block made my subs sound louder lol,,, but this new one has this bass boost remote that 's weird,,, u boost what frequency u wanna bass boost and it'll only sound loud if u boost 40 hertz,, i have the main function of the amp running at 100 hz which is what i had the other amp running at and it sounded way louder who knows who cares really i just wish my amp never overheated and my subs could be pushed at anything loud lol

Yeah, that amp aint puttin out 1800w rms. Number one, your car would probably shut off, number two, two Kicker Comps aren't going to handle 1800w rms in a ported box for much more than a week. There's alot of things you could be doing wrong, but it's hard to say without seeing it. I'd start with adequate power and ground wiring, gains set moderately, and crossovers set below 80hz. This is all assuming that amp is actually 2ohms stable.
