Default infinity perfect series components

anyone heard these in-car? i'm looking at possibly picking a set up (accomodation = win), but i haven't even the foggiest idea what they sound like (nor will i get the chance to find out, since all my store will be carrying is the reference series... gotta love a commitment to profitable mediocrity).

i'm getting that itch again.

Ive heard they lack midbass if you run them without a sub. I have never installed a set of perfects without a sub however. They have very crisp highs and unstoppable vocal/instrument separation. A must for rock music a must not if you have a lot of MP3s(you will hear the distortion)

I think alot depends on what you're going to power them with. I've heard alot of people say the Reference series is as good if not better...especially on decks or smaller amps.

the reference amp is rated at like 111 RMS x4, so i think i should be good there.

I have reference 6x8's in my truck and wow do they get high. The tweet sometimes gets too annoying on some songs...forget getting midbass out of these

That's what I've been hearing. I haven't heard enough side by sides in person to say for myself though. I've heard the reference series has more mid bass and they perform better on low power systems.

you assholes are going to make me buy another DLS component set, aren't you

if it helps any, here's the complete system plan:

Reference amps (111x4 and 6whateverhundredx1)
Perfect 6.1 components for the front
i guess reference 6x9's for the rear? for whatever reason their kappa speakers are all 2 ohms (which pisses me off righteously) and there's no damn perfects. will those actually hold the power? they're rated for 100 rms, but i've got my doubts i guess.
2 IDQ v2 dual 2 ohm 12's
kenwood KDC 732
