It actually kind of looks like a supersized version of that new HK computer speaker setup. What might be scary, is how it would sound, especially after a layer of dynamat.
At CES last year, dynamat had a 10" sub mounted in the lid of a steel garbage can, covered with dynamat. Actually sounded pretty good. They just had a 50 hz test tone, but it was ok.
I saw another one somewhere, where a guy actually made a tube sub out of a hollowed out log.
