ok well heres the deal here in a few months im going to get anouther car or truck. What should i run for a full system? I want bass mids and highs and want it to sound clean. But not looking to spend over 1000 bucks. Let me know what and where i can get everything im talking Head Unit, Power wire, Box, Subs, Component speekers, You know every thing i would need for a system.

well first off... thats a very tight budget for what you want (talking decent stuff). I for sure would not try to go to a retail store for the stuff.

 

I agree, I know no one on here knows me yet but to do a full system you will need to go with really poor quality gear (possible used) or up your budget.

 

$1k is very possible if you shop around online and do everything yourself. Doubt you're gonna win competitions or break records, but you can definetly pick up a decent deck, front speakers, sub, two amps, wires, and wood for a box for $1k. A good system is more than just high priced equipment. It's matching the right equipment together and good installation.

We do a system for $1100 installed, that consists of a Dual AM/FM/CD/MP3, 2 Distinct (entry level crossfire) 400w amps, 2 Distinct 10 inch woofers in a carpeted enclosure, and 4 crossfire coaxes (5 1/4, 6 1/2, 6x9, whatever fits).

This is not junk...it is real stuff, made by a real company, sold by a real shop, with a real warranty. I had basically this same system in my 94 caprice wagon when I had it, and it was really quite impressive.

Will it shatter spl records? no. Will it win contests? Maybe. Will it sound good and hold up? Yes.

If you wanted to do it yourself, you'd be down around the $850 mark.

I've got a couple of these systems out on the streets. Maybe I can get one of them in for the meet on the 8th.
