Blown or not blown, this is the question
This is my SI d2 15" subwoofer that is dual 2 ohm voice coil. About 2 weeks after I put my sub from ported to sealed, this started. It sounds like I have an air leak and when I checked I dont. It only makes the sound when turned up real loud, but when turned up a bit the bass sounds fine. The following ohm readings is what I found out. What do you guys think
(dual voice coil, one reading for each coil)

wierd... i thought when its blown it just wont read any ohms ?
The voice coil has partially melted and will soon completely fail. Theres pretty much nothing you can do except get it refurbished.
** EDIT **
I just took a closer look at the picture and your ohmsmeter has the low battery light on. That could return erroneous readings of the impedance and void what I said above.

Yeah, it'll rear higher ohm loads if the voice coils or tinsel leads are damaged. I'd get some new batteries in your meter before anything else though. You coming out to the Audio Meet on April 8th?
