Default How can i.....

i wanna put in a stock navigation from say an acura cl/tl, odyssey, s2000 something in the honda family for my 93 prelude, would like it in the stock location where the radio would be, looks like it would fit nice and flush, my question is hw hard would it be to do this? is it way out there or is it doable? would i be able to watch dvds and possibly hook up a datalogger in the future? im a nOoB when it comes to electronics. thanks in advance.

Tapping Into A Factory System To Watch Dvd Or Any Thing - I Dont Think I Can Be Done....
I Would Be A Lot Easier And Probably Cheaper To Go Aftermarket

Anything is "doable", but I can assure you it would not be worth the time and money. Doubt you would be able to add anything like a dvd player or datalogger to it later. An aftermarket indash nav system would be much more practical....more features, and the ability to build onto it.

True, makes sense, but as far as navi capabilities its doable? hmm. im not much for the dvd in my car, but if i do i guess ill put it behind the dash glass on my 4g lude, i think it looks hot there, but i like the look of the navi system in the radio location, looks clean.

There is an aftermarket auxiliary hookup for the TL nav system but I have never installed it in a non-TL vehicle/ It would probably require some significant modification to install it. You would be better off purchasing an aftermarket system and installing it. Cheaper, better looking, easier to install, and more reliable.

they make double din aftermarket units, so it doesnt have to be a flip out tv.. they make them to fill the gap you have there, like the TL one does.
