Default Headunit And Sub Install

I have an 02 Pontiac Grandprix GTP with the Bose 8 speaker system in it and i want to install my headunit(Pioneer DEH-P7700MP) and i want to put my subs and amp in the car. I want to know if i need to bypass the stock amp(which only powers the 6x9's in the rear), and if so what hardware do i need, and how do i do it. I've put systems in cars before so i know how to wire the headunit and such but i've never put a system in a car that had a stock amp, so i need to know if i need to bypass this one, since it only powers two of the speakers, and if i do need to bypass it i need to know how to do it. Any help you guys can offer would be awesome.Thanks.

locate where the stock amp is first, and just trace the lead wires back to the headunit.then ull have to either wire the wires going to those speakers or extend them.

I have a 03 grand prix with the same system - To keep the 4s and the 6x9s you will have to splice a set of RCAs onto the cars speaker leads which run to the amp for the rears. cap off the headunits high level outputs for rears.

Everything else is gravy - also run the kit wire on the passenger side near the floorboard - you will have a straight path with the fuse box wire to the battery.
