what do you guys think of the alpine type R sub mostlikely a 10" in a ported box.

With that sub and size, I'd personally go with a sealed box.

I wouldnt do a ported box unless you have a hatchback. but a single 10 will offer nice crisp bass without weighing you down.

I GOT A 91 TALON


i meant sealed my bad long day lol.i had jl audio w7 but i want to spend less this time.do you guys know of any problems with the type r subs? thanks

umm kicker cvr.. couple bucks cheaper, must better sounding IMO... mtx 7500, uhh many more, those are just what we carry at Circuit city.... I had 3 type R 10's in sealed boxes, I wasnt really to impressed witht hem

Kicker is good, but I'll never buy any gear from them again due to some bad experiences. I disagree about the MTX, but lets not get started about the Alpine vs MTX debate.

i want something that hits hard i want a 10" i think it sounds better when you just have the fm radio goin.i want something that has at least 300 rms.
