dvd player on while driving...
I just bought a flip down headunit. I heard when these units are installed, you have to put the car in park before watching any dvds . What would i have to do void that option? I want to be able to have the dvd player working while the car's in motion.

Seriously
Ok fine, give us the model number of your flip out and we can tell you how.
there will be two wires that either hook to your shifter if auto or parking brake in manual. These are the wires that relay the signal for it to turn dvd option on/off. Take these two wires and gound them both out good. Then you will be in business bro. Look in your manual for what wires they are.
unfortunately your information has been outdated as the newer ones require a sequence signal to play while in operation. I dont think hes gonna follow up on this thread though with the model number.

NVIC-II is different if he is talking about that unit, being they are gyro activated, but there is a way to get past that as well. A little removal of some glue and some solder will fix that problem.
