Oh jesus

In my 85 mercury capri, It was am/fm only, so I went to the best audio store in the world, wal mart, and bought a road gear tape deck, and my friends dad installed it.
I bought a "road gear" 10 from walmart, and an 80 watt amp with no crossover..pffft who needs that shit.
I didnt have a box, so a friend of a friend gave me one of his old boxes. Of course it was a full range box with the bullet tweeter removed Ported!

What was funny, my friends dad installed it, but didnt know what preamp outputs were. he told me they were inputs. I hooked my sony discman up to it, and you know that wasnt the greatest idea. Nobody knew any better, so we just hooked up the high level inputs

pioneer deck, stock speakers, 1 pioneer 10 in a best buy bandpass box, originally powered by a pyramid 200 watt amp with no crossover, then moved up to a 350 watt crunch amp when the sub didn't make any damn noise on the pyramid

 

2 alpine type e, with a rocka 800watt amp... wasnt real bad

 

2 10" optimus subs(26 bucks a peice) in an old home speaker cab that i cut another hole in... runnin off two volvo 40 watt stereo amps(free from the JY)... and a stock GM tape deck.....12/3 home wiring for the amps in total the whole thing cost me 52 dollars plus tax... and to be honest it didnt sound all that bad not alot of power but it was clean...................

 

Two Jensen 12"s in a bandpass with a $50 Wal-mart amp off a factory headunit..
